The meals are “real honest” food prepared by an Icelandic Chef and there is an “all you can eat continental breakfast” available for any overnight guests. Situated by the Hotel is the rarity of the Beaumont Holiday Park, which has 16 Powered Sites, Numerous Tent sites and Backpacker Bunk rooms where duvets can be hired if needed. There is also ablution block with Kitchen Facilities, TV and Hot Showers. A sewage disposal site is also available free of charge to Campervans which park overnight.

Gold panning pans are also available for hire and a gold coin donation is required to use the local swimming pool, when open. There is the only working Punt in the Southern Hemisphere over the Clutha River at Tuapeka Mouth to explore with Bush Walks along the 20 Km Rongahere Road. Further up State Highway 8, about 5 Km to the north, is a Wool Carding Place where you can see and feel real sheep’s wool being spun and processed into knitting yarn.
